Aerosmith 在1977年推出的专辑《Draw the Line》与前两张成功的专辑《Toys in the Attic》和《Rocks》相比显得多少有些退步，乐队也认为过多的巡回演出使他们感到太疲倦了，《Draw the Line》并没有带来太大的惊喜。不像他们以前的专辑，这次乐队没有花很多的时间在录音棚里探索新的乐风，乐队这次寻求的是 Rock ‘N’ Roll 中简单原始的精神。专辑中的单曲 “Bright Light Fright” 是乐队的第二灵魂人物 Joe Perry（guitars）第一次在乐队的专辑中主唱歌曲，其他优秀单曲还有：“Milk Cow Blues”、“I Wanna Know Why”, Kings and Queens” 等。总体来说《Draw the Line》是一张本着返朴归真精神的专辑。
Draw the Line is the fifth album by American hard rock band Aerosmith, released December 1, 1977. It was recorded in an abandoned convent near New York City, rented out for that purpose.
The portrait of the band was drawn by the celebrity caricaturist Al Hirschfeld.
Kerrang! magazine listed the album at #37 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time".
