Under Construction专辑介绍
应该所有的欧美乐迷都听说过Pink Floyd乐队的著名作品The Wall (1979), 这代表了他们最伟大的成就之一, 同时也是摇滚音乐史上和现场音乐会范围内最伟大的成就之一.
而在The Wall成为一部电影, 一场音乐会, 甚至是一张专辑之前, The Wall只是一个想法, 一个"建设中的想法" (an idea UNDER CONSTRUCTION).
它至少经历了两个demo阶段.
首先是一份Roger Waters自弹自唱的粗糙的录音样品. 乐队认为这份样品具有很大的潜力, 于是他们放下同时期的demo, 开始雕琢这份demo.
而后来, Pink Floyd录制了第二张demo, 一张更为完整的demo. 这张demo的歌词和音乐都显得未经雕琢, 一些歌词例如"I am a physician/ who can handle your condition/ like a magician" 在The Wall最终定稿之前被彻底重写.
但是这并不意味着我们无法看到和听到这张demo中的那些半成品的歌词和具有试验性的音乐. 1999开始, 这些demo样本开始被收集起来, 最终与所有歌迷见面. 就是现在大家所看到的这张所谓的UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
