A replica of the mega-hit Whitesnake, Slip of the Tongue wasn't as successful because the band's songs weren't as catchy and the riffs weren't as powerful. Not even the presence of guitar superhero Steve Vai could add excitement to the band's bland, futile attempt at keeping its pop audience.
