Bone Palace Ballet 专辑介绍
Bone Palace Ballet is the second album by American post-hardcore band Chiodos, released September 4, 2007.
On April 19th, 2007, a link to the studio demo of the untitled song played during the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour was posted on Chiodos' official fansite message board, along with a fifty second clip of another demo entitled "Lexington." The links were subsequently removed from the message board by the board's administrators. Shortly after the demos appeared, Chiodos posted a stream of the untitled demo on their MySpace page.
On June 1, 2007, Chiodos posted a MySpace bulletin containing lyrics to the untitled demo, and the official name of the song; "Teeth the Size of Piano Keys."
On August 27, 2007, a poorly mastered copy of the album was leaked to the internet, 8 days before the official release date.
Following the album's release, it debuted at number 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and number 1 on the Top Independent Albums, selling over 39,000 copies in its first week. As of January 2009, the album has sold more than 200,000 copies in the United States alone, clearly exceeding sales of the band's debut All's Well That Ends Well. [1]
On September 4, 2007 Equal Vision Records released an opaque orange vinyl pressing of the album, which included the full album on compact disc. It was limited to 2,000 copies. [2]
Warner Bros. Records released Bone Palace Ballet on January 26, 2009, as part of a new distribution deal in the UK.
