It's not every day that you can say that a metal band is comprised of members of Greek and Swedish origin. But Nightrage is not your ordinary band, as they specialize in a sound that manages to borrow equally from death metal and also modern day melodic metal -- as evidenced throughout 2007's A New Disease Is Born. The group's third full-length overall (and first for the Lifeforce label), signals the arrival of two new members -- singer Jimmie Strimell and drummer Alex Svenningson -- both of which have no problem keeping pace with the remaining Nightrage veterans. Refusing to align themselves completely to either of the aforementioned metallic approaches, each of the album's 12 tracks are equally brutal and melodic, especially the Iron Maiden-esque "Reconcile" or the rapid-fire "Death-Like Silence." There's a little bit of everything here to appeal to headbangers both old and new.
