Still in fine fettle at the beginning of the '80s, Yves Montand gave a fine performance at the Olympia that was recorded for Philips. As good as he was in the studio, Montand really shone on-stage, and he displays his excellent sense of wit and diction, delivering classics like "Dansons la Rose" and "Le Temps." Montand also saves much of this best material for the second half, then rips through "Luna Park," "La Bicyclette," and "Dans Ma Maison" within a few songs. And for the master stroke, he also saves his evergreen "A Paris" to make a fitting finale.
