Lace Up专辑介绍 Lace Up is the debut studio album by American rapper MGK, released on October 9, 2012 through Bad Boy and Interscope Records.[1] The album will feature artists such as his friend DMX, as well Ester Dean, Twista, Tech N9ne, Bun B, Lil Jon, Young Jeezy, and among others.

Singles
The album's lead single, "Wild Boy", which features American rapper Waka Flocka Flame and was produced by GB Hitz and Southside. The song was initially included on his fourth mixtape, Rage Pack which was released in 2011, and on his debut EP, Half Naked & Almost Famous which was released on March 20, 2012. The song debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 on the week of January 28, 2012 at number 98 and on US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at number 49. It serves as his first song charted in both Billboard's charts.[2][3] The music video, directed by Spliff TV and Maybach Music Films, features cameo appearances from jeweler Johnny Dang, comedian Katt Williams and rapper Layzie Bone, as well as Waka Flocka Flame.

The album's second single, "Invincible", featured vocals from American singer-songwriter Ester Dean and production by British producer Alex da Kid. The song was released to digital retailers in the United States on April 24, 2012,[4] and was solicited to rhythmic contemporary radio and contemporary hit radio on May 15 and July 31, 2012 respectively.[5] MGK shot a video for the single, which featured an appearance from the singer Ester Dean, and uploaded the video on Youtube under his VEVO account, on June 3, 2012.

MGK released another single on August 6, 2012, called "Hold On (Shut Up)" featuring Young Jeezy and produced by JP Did This 1, on DJ Clue's mixtape, Desert Storm Radio: The Takeover and was later announced as the album's next single.

Guest appearances and production
The album's guest appearances will be Alex Fitts, Anna Yvette, Blackbear, Bun B, Cassie, DMX, Dubo, Ester Dean, Lil Jon, M. Shadows, Planet VI, Synyster Gates, Tech N9ne, Twista, Waka Flocka Flame and Young Jeezy and the rock bands Avenged Sevenfold and The Kickdrums whilst the production team so far are Alex da Kid and JP Did This 1. Diddy is the executive producer of the album.

Release and promotion
During the development of the album, MGK released several mixtapes, including one with the title Lace Up. In an interview with Global Grind, he compared Lace Up to the 50 Cent album Get Rich or Die Tryin', which achieved significant critical and commercial success.[8] In an interview with Vlad TV, MGK stated that Lace Up would be one of the best albums of the decade: he also confirmed the album's guest appearances. On August 8, MGK revealed via his Twitter account that the album would be released on October 9, 2012. On August 13, 2012, MGK released a mixtape titled EST 4 Life, which contained both old and recently recorded material.[9] In an interview with Rap-Up, MGK revealed he had recorded a song with one of his idols – fellow rapper DMX – called "D3mons", which he claimed would be a "very dark" record
