Korn新单Rotting In Vain，新专The Serenity of Suffering将于10月发行！
Korn debuted a brand new track titled “Rotting In Vain” during their performance today (July 16th) at the ‘Chicago Open Air Fest‘. The song will be released on July 22nd.
Though an official release date or album title has yet to be revealed for the new Korn album, the band members have not been shy about talking about the material. Recently, guitarist Munky revealed that Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor would guest on a track and added a little more about what fans can expect in terms of the sound. “We have Corey singing on one track and it’s going to be a fan favorite because he really lets loose. On a heaviness scale of one to 10 with 10 being the 1994 self-titled, this album is a definite nine,” explained the guitarist.
His fellow guitarist, Brian “Head” Welch, also gave an interview where he revealed that he and Munky were driving the push for a heavier sound. “We really wanted to go into what Korn does guitar-wise,” stated Head. “James, Ray [Luzier] and I started riffing back in June of last year. Then we’d go on tour, come back and spend a week or two just jamming out. We started getting ideas pretty quickly once we started going into bigger studios and everything. It just went in that direction of the heavier sound. It’s the most intense Korn music in a long time vocally [as well].”
