The House Always Wins专辑介绍 New York natives Stray From The Path have weighed in on the US election by dropping their caustic new single “The House Always Wins” ahead of tonight’s presidential results. A biting critique of the US political system and the self-serving interests of the government, despite whether Clinton or Trump wins the presidency, Stray From The Path declare: “we’re all fucked no matter who we choose”.

Guitarist Tom Williams says Stray From The Path are so frustrated by political discourse that they couldn’t wait until their next album to release their new single “The House Always Wins”. “It almost seems that this election was begging for us to take a swing at it. We watched Trump bid for the Republican candidacy against people like Cruz and Christie… We watched Hillary actually steal the Democratic candidacy from a guy who was drawing millions of people around the country, and funding his campaign off of millions of donations averaging at $27, from real people… while Hillary was drawing crowds of less people than Stray From The Path can draw at a random show in Tennessee?

It was wrong. These two candidates are wrong. A two party program is wrong. We have a circus going on while Native Americans at the Dakota Access Pipeline are victims of terrorism at the hands of the oil companies that purchase this election. Not a word about it from anybody. No help.

This band has always been an outlet for our frustrations with this planet, and we couldn’t wait for our next full length to get this one out. There are people who feel the same way as us, and I hope this song can open some minds up about the people they look to as leaders and ask themselves: do they actually give a shit about my life? Or would they sell me out in a second to further their agenda. The answers are not always pretty, and sometimes hard to accept, but in the end of the day, The House Always Wins.”

Hailing from New York, Stray From The Path are a four piece alternative hardcore band who have made it their mission to tackle the often untapped issues that plague the society of the human race. From the law enforcement, to the individuals in bands that take advantage of the sacred supporters of this music scene, Stray shows no mercy in their lyrics when they see injustice. Without the crutch of computers, and the perfect pace of a click track, Stray delivers an unpredictable, raw emotion that feeds off the energy of the people. With the supporters of the band acting as the fuel to the fire, Stray has only intensified as their career marched on.

The love of Stray From The Path in Australia runs deep. As one of the coolest and vigorous live bands in heavy music, Stray followed up their lauded slots on Northlane (2013) and The Amity Affliction (2014) Australian tours with an appearance on this year’s Unify Festival, as well as their first headline tour of these parts in January. Stray From The Path will return to the studio in February 2017 with Will Putney.
