Verdiales
This is a dance and a song that were born in the small
village of Los Verdiales, in the province of Malaga.
Verdiales, which is also a form of fandango, is very
popular in Andalusia due to its simplicity and cheerful
nature. It is played in size 3/4. Tonality in A minor (E
phrygian) with periodic deviations in C major. As in
other variants of fandango, the emphasis is on the 1st
beat of each bar.
