This version is only played live, it is not recorded on
any album. I actually tabbed all this out from memory
from the concert that Tool did here in Phoenix at the
America West Arena. This is the version they played or
it was something similar to this because remember this is
all done by memory. Differences on the live versions are
as follows. . .
Track 1- (Adam) There was no sampled intro, adam
just used a bunch of feed back and then they went into
the song. On bars 27-29, Adam played the same riff
only on frets D 14, and A 17-19, then he did a pick
harmonic on A 19 and did a quick downslide to bar 30.
On bars 34-37, Adam hit the 2 and the 5 very quickly,
this is not on the album version. Then the extended
version starts on bar 84. Adam hit's 2 dead notes and
then hit's the 2 very quick then mutes it and does it over
again. He is also using a strong delay in this part. Then
on bar 99, Adam turns off the delay and plays without
delay and goes back to the normal bridge on bar 111.
Track 2 (Justin)- For the most part, Justin's riffs were all
the same only he had the extended bridge on bars
94-110. There were some small variations in the song
that he used in his riff's but I really can't remember
them.
Track 3 (Danny)- Danny's riffs were all the same
except for at the begining of the song, he did a 1,2,3,4
count right before bar 6 with his sticks. Then on bars
84-110 was the extended bridge. then returning to the
origional bridge on bar 111.
Track 4 (Maynard)- Maynard's lyrics were sung the
same except on bar 84 where he sings, "If I really don't
feel anything at all." When he sings "AT ALL" the all
is extended over to the next bar and then fades out.
Track 5 is just there as a little sound thingie they had at
the end.
Tack 7 is there so that the drums sound louder.
