The string parts were separated into different tracks
because it would otherwise require the player to hit
pinch harmonics on some strings of a chord and not
others. That, and the notes are absurdly high, which is
why the notes you hear are an octave higher than
notated.
The choir parts were separated into different tracks so
they could be panned in accordance with the OST.
