Born Of A Broken Man

Quite a difficult song to tab, but I think this is it.

The song can quite easily be played with one guitar, 
two guitars or three guitars. This version is a (roughly!) 
faithful reproduction of the CD track. So, if you're 
playing live/solo, ignore the Overdub track altogether. 
If you're a solo guitarist, like Rage playing live, then just 
switch between Clean and Distortion and make the 
best use you can out of equalizers, volume knobs or 
whatever to reproduce the transitional effect. Tom can 
do that fade effect live, but I have no idea exactly how 
he does it!

Update: A volume swell is clearly involved, but since I 
don't own the live dvd, i'm not certain. But it's pretty 
frigging certain that it is. The big debate that's 
plagueing me at the moment is to whether or not the 
main riff is actually done on the clean channel, or if it's 
merely distortion, with the volume knob lowered to 
around 3. This would certainly explain how Tom can 
make the transition so smoothly, and a similar effect is 
used in the Audioslave song "What You Are". 
Either way, you'd have to start with your volume 
lowered during the clean parts. The jury is still out on 
this one, so just do whatever feels right :)
