Reality Of A Dreams

We walk the earth. Across the seas and headlong, 
deep into the shoreline.
When did brutality, become a virtue, have we 
forsaken our beliefs, tyranny was never an option.
Such outrage from morals to thin to filter out the wrong, 
the wretched, the weak and the many. 


Once again we crossed the line we made ruins of this 
place.
To be decent men, in an indecent time never seemed 
quite real.
And yet sometimes, the darkest days are all that we 
have.
So should we embrace the light, or choose to close 
our eyes.

Lying awake. I抦 just dreaming of the things we could 
have been. 
And the horror抯 I抳e seen.
This silence has become a friend. Staring into the 
eyes of midnight. 
My eyes scan for daylight.

The clocks tick by and through the years oh, how 
they抳e sung there song.
Dismantling the memories of the dead and gone.

But we cannot forgive or forget. Our choices. 
We should be ashamed of what we抳e done or worse, 
what we have become.

dying race.
