Right off the bat I have to say this was one of the most
difficult tabs (took me years) I've ever attempted, for
several reasons, and as some of you nit-pickers will
notice it's still not necessarily 100% perfect, and it
cannot be.
First, I don't even think I have to make mention of the
sheer technicality involved with this particular
instrumental, but I will. It was fuckin' tough.
Second, every one of the recordings (two demo and 1
album version) have differed, and they play it differently
again in live situations. That is why this tab is not
EXACTLY the album version, but a compromise
between all the versions.
Third, there is alot of freetime involved with some of the
leads, some parts improvised each time they play it,
so if some of the parts sound weird from what you're
used to hearing it's because I set durations as constant
(nonuplets, for example), when in real life they vary due
to not giving a fuck and just shredding (\m/). That is
why I've gone for a more middle-of-the-road approach
by atleast trying to get the different modes right. The
drumming is also volatile as fills or double bass accents
tend to change, so I've also tried to aim for a balance
in that as well. The bass also plays alot of doodles here
and there that are very difficult to pick up since they
are fast and not that present in the mix, so I've tabbed
a few to the best of my ability.
So all in all, the MAIN structure of the song, the main
motifs and themes are all there, PLUS STELLAR
LIXXX MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...
